Das Thurgauer Institut für digitale Transformation wurde von der Thurgauischen Stiftung für Wissenschaft und Forschung gemeinsam mit der Universität Konstanz und der Hochschule Konstanz (HTWG) gegründet. Bereits drei weitere Thurgauer An-Institute bestehen an den Hochschulen in Konstanz: das Biotechnologie Institut Thurgau (BITG), das Thurgauer Wirtschaftsinstitut (TWI) und das Institut für Werkstoffsystemtechnik Thurgau (WITG).

The Thurgau Institute for Digital Transformation was founded by the Thurgau Foundation for Science and Research together with the University of Constance and the University of Applied Sciences (HTWG) Constance. There are already three other Thurgau affiliated institutes at the universities in Constance: the Biotechnology Institute Thurgau (BITg), the Thurgau Business Institute (TWI) and the Institute for Materials Systems Engineering Thurgau (WITg).
